Established in 1950, Murakami Bakery is a long-standing shop that has been providing school lunch bread to Takehara for many years.
Open only on Saturdays and Sundays, it’s also known as the “phantom bakery.”
Their specialty is a beef curry bread generously made with Takehara brand beef, Taoshita-gyu.
The satisfying bite of chunky, diced beef is exceptional.
Their crispy melon bread and adorable rabbit-shaped shokupan are also popular—great as souvenirs, too.
A beloved shop packed with local flavor and a playful touch.
