A Japanese and Western confectionery shop where you can take home culture, aroma, and flavor along with memories of your visit to Takehara.
The shop offers heartfelt signature sweets including “Shokutan,” a black castella made with Takehara’s specialty bamboo charcoal; “Kyutaro Manju,” named after the childhood name of Master Rai Sanyo; and “Kaguya-hime no Yomeiri Gashi,” featuring six different flavors.
The most popular item is “Hakoniwa Monaka,” which represents the Setouchi landscape as a miniature garden.
This satisfying delicacy features fragrant wafers made from domestic glutinous rice filled generously with premium tsubuan (chunky sweet red bean paste).
They also offer adorable “Usa Busse,” making this a delightful shop for souvenir shopping.
