This festival is held with “bamboo,” the official city tree of Takehara, as its theme.
*The 35th Takehara Bamboo Festival will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026*
As a new addition to the event, we’re holding the “Take-Cos DAY” cosplay and costume event!
It will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Takehara Historic District, the Takehara Station Shopping Street, and the Takehara Umi-no-Eki!

Sasa-zake (bamboo sake) service to ward off illness, featuring local sake from three breweries (Taketsuru, Fujii, and Nakao) served by Princess Kaguya

The first 300 visitors will receive a wonderful gift! One lucky winner will receive a luxury prize!
