Takehara Sumiyoshi Festival

~Overview~
A traditional sea festival that has continued since the Edo period.
Children’s lanterns line the Hongawa River, and a variety of events are held including kai denma (traditional boat races), portable shrine processions, stage performances, lottery drawings, and fan raffles.

5:00 PM ~ Lottery (300 yen per ticket)
5:00 PM ~ Night stalls
6:00 PM ~ Kai denma parade (times may vary depending on Hongawa River water levels)

6:00 PM ~ 6:30 PM Opening band performance (Takehara High School & Tadanoumi High School brass bands)
6:30 PM ~ 7:00 PM Chairman’s greeting, guest greetings, etc.
7:00 PM ~ 7:20 PM Chamber of Commerce Women’s Division & Nakadori Elementary School Soran dance
7:20 PM ~ 7:40 PM Club GT Dance
7:40 PM ~ 8:05 PM Majorica Dance
