At the G7 Hiroshima Summit working dinner held on the evening of Friday, May 19, “Ryusei Katsunigorisake -Hattan No. 35-” was served!

About “Katsunigorisake”
This sake is released from the brewery just as the cold weather begins to subside and plum blossoms start to bloom, making us look forward to the arrival of spring. It is a lightly carbonated sparkling sake that captures the breath of the yeast.
Released in early February, it is perfect as a toast for celebrations and cherry blossom viewing in March and April, with a design that stands out at festive occasions.
While its elegance often catches the eye, the quality of the sake is meticulously crafted. As a lightly carbonated sake produced through secondary fermentation in the bottle—available only during this season—it is a drink we want sake enthusiasts to truly enjoy.

About the sake brewing rice “Hattan No. 35”
Hattan No. 35 is a variety of sake rice that has long represented Hiroshima Prefecture. Inheriting the lineage of the legendary native rice “Hattanso,” it was created by crossing “Hattan No. 10” and “Shuho.” It is softer than Hattan Nishiki and can sometimes break during polishing, but it absorbs water well and dissolves easily. It is characterized by a fine, transparent flavor and a polished aroma, resulting in a smooth, light, and refreshing sake.
