Matoba Beach

This beach, with beautiful white sand stretching out into the blue sea, is also known as a great fishing spot.
There are paid showers and changing rooms, and in summer it gets lively with lots of swimmers.
The Seto Inland Sea is very calm, making it perfect for families too.
The islands of Awashima, Omishima, Karashima, Osakikamijima, and Ikunoshima spread out right in front of you, and if conditions are good you can even see the Shikoku Mountains!
The beach opening period for Matoba Beach is as follows.
〇 Period: Friday, July 18, 2025 – Sunday, August 17, 2025
〇 Hours: 9:00–17:00
〇 Shower rooms: Adults (15 and over) 100 yen, Children (under 15) 50 yen

*From Friday, July 18, 2025 to Sunday, August 31, 2025, the entrance will be locked from 21:00 to 7:00 the next morning due to no vehicle entry at night.
