Recommended Season: Spring / Summer / Fall / Winter
The Kaguya-hime Museum features works inspired by The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, creating a fantastical atmosphere.
The exhibition room, a converted storehouse, features Princess Kaguya dolls created by Mataro Kanabayashi, a leading master of Kimekomi doll making.
The mezzanine of the main hall houses the “Kaguya-hime Library,” which contains books, documents, and research materials related to “Kaguya-hime.”
You can also find fairy-tale wooden plaques and good-luck art by Shunji Sonoyama throughout the grounds, from the main hall’s attic to the bamboo grove.
