Founded in 1863, Fujii Shuzo opens a corner of its sake brewery—built in the mid-Edo period—as the atmospheric Sakagura Koryukan (Brewery Exchange Hall). The thick pillars and high ceiling beams tell the story of over 150 years of history, while the faint scent of sake puts your mind at ease.
Inside, you can enjoy free tastings of brands like “Ryusei” and “Yoru no Teio,” and browse a selection of sake cups, tableware, and bamboo-themed sundries that enhance a lifestyle with sake. There is also a great variety of souvenirs, including sweets made with sake lees and “Sakehana” cosmetic soap.
*Please note that tours of the actual brewing area are not available, but you can fully immerse yourself in sake culture within this unique brewery space.
