Tadanoumi Port Ferry Terminal

The gateway to Rabbit Island. With its stylish black-themed exterior, the shop inside sells rabbit goods like original mugs. The additive-free soft-serve ice cream you can eat here is amazing♪♪ The number of ferry services per day and available parking spaces is limited. Be sure to check the timetable and parking info on the Access page!

Okunoshima

Also known as “Rabbit Island”—a must for rabbit lovers
“So cute!” The moment you step off the boat, you can’t help but cheer. This small island in the Seto Inland Sea, where more than 900 adorable rabbits welcome you, is now a hot topic on social media around the world! You can also enjoy camping and cycling on the island, making it a fun little island trip that feels like a great deal!

Takehara Umi-no-Eki (Takehara Port)

The sea gateway located at Takehara Port
Takehara’s “sea gateway”—the Takehara Port Terminal. On the 3rd floor, the restaurant “Blue Harbor” offers meals made with Takehara-grown vegetables, seafood, and meat in a refined space with ocean views. The 1st floor has local specialty seafood, seasonal sweets, and food and drink for sale, and the 2nd floor is a meeting room. Farm Suzuki

The oyster-farming site is a pond on a former salt field. They farm in a way that stays close to the pond’s natural environment while protecting the ecosystem where many kinds of creatures coexist. The rare, high-quality “Clair Oyster” salt-field-aged oysters—only available here in all of Japan and accounting for about 0.3% of Hiroshima Prefecture’s total production—are a must-try when you visit Osakikamijima.

Michi-no-Eki Takehara (Roadside Station Takehara)

Located at the entrance to the Historic Preservation District, it’s a convenient place to shop for souvenirs and take a break. There are also local fresh foods and specialty products for sale, plus a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal. The Campbell soft-serve made with Takehara’s specialty grapes, “Takehara Campbell,” is a local treat you can only have in Takehara. You can also book a townscape guide and find plenty of tourist information about Takehara! Luggage storage is also available for 500 yen/day.

A nationally designated Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, with a calm, charming atmosphere
A beautiful historic district of residences and venerable temples that flourished in the Edo period through salt and sake production. The tall walls, latticed gates, and plaster walls make you feel like you’ve traveled back in time to Edo. Take a relaxed, leisurely stroll!
